Performance is monitored at many levels and in line with our philosophy of fostering ownership. Each student will formally self-evaluate their performance on a weekly basis in their ILP review sessions with their personal tutor.

The data collected to monitor performance is as follows:
  • Punctuality
  • Attendance
  • Homework submission, attainment and effort
  • Classwork attainment and effort
  • Coursework submission, attainment and effort
  • Conduct
  • Internal Test Attainment and Effort
The data is then measured against the targets in the ILP between the student and the personal tutor on a weekly basis and the Head of Year reviews this.

Any action to remedy attainment that is below target is always taken in full consultation with the students and, where appropriate, with parents. The key is to ensure that we are able to offer an individual action plan to improve the students' attainment and to unlock their potential.
The measures could range from, for example, formalised individual tuition to an intensive time-management programme.
