The Upper Sixth Year is literally two terms and one term of examinations. In the first term, students are combining outcome of AS grades, UCAS applications and interviews with the step to Advanced study for the second part of their A-levels. We know that this year is the busiest year in a young persons education and our curriculum for the Upper Sixth is carefully designed to ease out these pressures. Our students usually will drop one AS subject and continue with three A2 subjects.
However, we realise that every student is unique so our Upper Sixth Curriculum is also available to:
- Students moving to AS study elsewhere and are looking to improve their grades
- Students who wish to combine elements of whole A2 study with elements of AS units
- Students who wish to retake A2 subjects whilst commencing A1 (One-Year A-Level) courses.
We look after applications to university and early enrolment to facilitate this is strongly advised. Early application and enrolment is advised to take advantage of the coaching during the summer holidays for effective transition into A2s.
Each A2 course has 6.5 hours of timetabled tuition per week. Students are required to complete 6.5 hours of personal study for each subject per week. |
