All students are encouraged to take full advantage of the excellent sporting facilities enjoyed by the college.

A wide variety of sporting options are on offer at the nearby National Indoor Arena, Aston University, Ackers Outdoor Centre and Tamworth Dry-Ski Slope Centre.

Coaching is provided in a number of sports including football, netball, badminton, basketball and cricket. A number of our students involved themselves in competitive sport either on an individual or team bases.

Abbey College will be sponsoring and hosting a major under 19s football tournament in the Spring term. If successful this is planned to be an annual event with over twenty schools / sixth form colleges taking part.

This competitive thread extends to our friendly inter-form sporting events and culminates in students challenging teacher teams.
