We take into account previous academic results and any circumstances or obstacles to learning that may have impacted upon attainment. We then consider the students long-term goals with the family and finally recommend a tailored programme of study that unites past attainment, present circumstances and future ambitions.
Usually students have five GCSEs grades A-C to have a secure foundation for commencing AS study. However, some of our students start AS study whilst improving their GCSE grades on intensive eight week or three month courses.
Admission to the college is based on interview and a satisfactory reference from the previous school. Any mitigating circumstances should be discussed in full during the interview.
Prospective parents and students can contact the college at any time during the year for an interview.
