Abbey College Football Tournament - Wednesday 7th December

On Wednesday 7th December, Abbey College hosted another football tournament for schools from across the city at the National Indoor Arena. Due to popular demand, Abbey College entered two teams for the event.

Abbey College A team got off to a great start with a win over Bishop Vesey. Their next game was against Abbey College B, which saw them narrowly beat a very determined team 2 -1. They drew their last game against King Edwards Aston, which meant they qualified for the final. Abbey College B, after losing their game to Abbey A, unfortunately lost their other games but played some very good football at times.

The final was between King Edward's Aston and Abbey College A, with King Edward's Aston deservedly coming out of top 3-1.

This was a very successful and keenly contested tournament and it was great to see two teams representing Abbey College Birmingham!
Well done to all the players.

Abbey A team:  Deji, Frank, Ben, Gurpreet, Ayo, Zain and Ashraf
Abbey B team:  Adnan. Mohammed, Ken, Mathew, Rob and Jack
