In the first match against one of the favourites, Bishop Walsh, Abbey College achieved a great 2 - 0 win.  Frank was solid at the back and DJ outstanding in goal. Ken put us into the lead with the first goal and an excellent finish by Frank secured victory.

In the second match, Abbey College made a disastrous start with Small Heath scoring within the first 30 seconds of the game. We did try to recover, pretty much throwing everything at them, hitting the post twice and squandering numerous other chances, but could not find the equaliser.

The final group match was against Moseley School.  Abbey College came out needing a win to secure a semi final spot. A solid start by the Abbey boys but we could not find a break through. Thankfully, other results went Abbey's way and Abbey reached the semi finals.

In the semi final, unfortunately, we came up against a well organised group of players from King Edward's, Aston who controlled the game from the start. Two early goals pretty much sealed Abbey's defeat.  King Edward's went on to win the final comfortably.

Well done to the Abbey College team a good start to the season.
