Abbey College Win Basketball Tournament - 9th December 2010

Abbey College hosted a Key Stage 4/5, basketball tournament with teams from King Edward's Aston School, Abbey College and The International School.

Each game was played over two, 10 minutes half's rather than the regular four quarters.

Game 1:  Abbey v The International School.  Abbey won 25-9

Our boys got off to a good start with 11 and Wu playing exceptionally well against a very athletic International school.  We went into half time with a lead, and picked up the pace in the second half to secure a comfortable victory.

Game 2:  Abbey v King Edward's Aston School.  Abbey won 23-17

This was a tighter affair, with King Edward's Aston having a number of taller and athletic players.  Thanks to Kevin and Anh, we went into the half time break with a slight lead.  We lost our concentration a little at the start of the second half, but we managed to hang onto the final buzzer to record the win.

Game 3:  King Edward's Aston v International:  King Edward won 16-9

Another good victory enabled Abbey College to win the overall competition!
