Art & Design End of Year Exhibition - June 2011

Yes it's that time of year again!

It comes around so quickly - the End of Year show.

As part of the AS and A2 Art & Design at Abbey College Birmingham, we encourage and facilitate the students to show their work in a college wide exhibition.  This not only develops an understanding of the importance of presenting their work to a high standard, but also gives the students confidence to have their work scrutinized by a wider audience.

The exhibition shows the culmination of each individual creative journey, this year in both Fine Art and Textile Design.  We  have been commended once again on the breadth of materials and processes used, the wealth of experimentation and the quality of the course content.

Finally, I am delighted to say that, this year, three of our students have gained places at London School of Fashion, part of the University of the Arts, London.  This is very well deserved and is the result of their commitment and hard work.
