Football Tournament! Sports Teacher, Thalat Mahmood has arranged a football tournament at the National Indoor Arena, Community Sports Hall at 3.45pm today. Our Abbey boys will be competing against King Edward School Aston, Harborne Academy and Small Heath School. Wishing all the boys a good game! Go Abbey...go!

Sports News: Olympic torch route - Birmingham & Black Country from Saturday 30th June:

Bloxwich, Walsall - the torch will arrive and travel through the borough.

Wolverhampton - the torch will be carried on the ring road and travel on a tram to Dudley.

Birmingham - on the journey to Birmingham, runners will carry the torch through parts of the Black Country which will include West Bromwich and Smethwick. The torch will then cross into Birmingham making its way past Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Edgbaston to Cannon Hill Park, Edgbaston where there will be an evening of celebration in the park.

Sunday 1st July: The torch will resume travel and set off from Victoria Square in Birmingham City Centre, passing by the Bull Ring Shopping Centre before making its way through Digbeth, heading towards Solihull and Earlswood. The relay will then journey to Worcestershire. (Let's hope the weather is kind!).
