Football Tournament

Abbey College hosted a Year 11 / 12 football tournament for eight schools from across the city: The International, Golden Hillock Sports College, Bishop Walsh, Yardleys, King Edwards Aston School, Al Hijrah, Harborne Academy and Abbey College.

Our group consisted of Bishop Walsh, Yardley's and Golden Hillock.

Game One: We went into a 2-0 lead, Bishop Walsh came back strong and scored. With one minute left, we gave the ball away and Bishop Walsh equalised.

Game Two: Against Golden Hillock, again we went 1-0 up cruising towards the final whistle, but another defensive error allowed Golden Hillock to equalise.

Game Three: Yardley's were very tough to breakdown, but eventually Samdeesh broke free and scored. 1-0 to Abbey.

Abbey College qualified for the semi final but were beaten by a good team from The International 3-1.

The boys performed well and it was a very enjoyable tournament with some good football played.

Well done to: Amar, Haroon, Samdeesh (Capt), Awais, Amirlan, Juggy and Sham.
