The Lower Sixth ICT students visited London to attend Information Technology seminars organised by Fabric Technologies. Fortunately the weather was glorious!

The Fabric team led by Sue, organised some much needed refreshments and provided each student a pack that contained USB sticks, pens and various other materials. A quick fire quiz at the beginning of the seminar allowed students the opportunity to win drinks bottles!

The various talks were very interesting and there were many occasions where the speaker cross referenced with the ICT specification such as Systems Life Cycle, Project roles and responsibilities, Software development, Solution development. Stuart Salt's seminar was particularly earnest, as he mentioned the significance of people and how we must effectively communicate to convey our thoughts and opinions.

The seminar ended with a quiz and although Zain was the first student to shoot is hand in the air to answer the question, it was unfortunately incorrect, which allowed Haaris the opportunity to show off his flair; he got the question right and was given a £150 voucher for a Red Letter Day experience!

We would like to thank Martin, Stuart, Danny and in particular Sue at Fabric Technologies who organised our visit and put together an enjoyable yet informative visit.
