New College Council Elected

6th November 2010

The College Council at Abbey College is made up of students that represent all cohorts, thus providing a voice for all students.  They meet each week to discuss ideas and work on projects that they have embarked on, with each member taking the lead on a variety of ideas and roles.  The council are already hard at work this term often working on several projects at one time.

They are a bright, enthusiastic, hard working and dynamic group of students and have been elected on the basis of their drive to enhance student life aiming to make Abbey a fun and exciting place to be for the entire student body.  The new council has already been very successful and raised over £170.00 for the Breast Cancer campaign after organising and encouraging staff and students to take part in 'White Pink day'.  This is just one of the many good causes and initiatives they are working towards.  With many more ideas and events in the process of planning, they will continue their hard work throughout the year.

This year's College Council members are:

Jasdeep Barth, Jasdeep Kang, Zahid Nawab, Maria Teresa Villablobos Finigan, Asha Salim, Priya Bajaj and Oxana Dudchenko
