Table Tennis comes to Abbey College!  Wednesday 16th November.

Abbey College travelled to Wood Green Academy and Sports College in Wednesbury for a friendly table tennis fixture.  Wood Green is a school that hosts a table tennis academy for the best players across the Black Country and a club for the best players across Staffordshire, with some players ranked nationally.

This was a difficult first match for our boys against a team of specialist table tennis players.  However the Abbey team battled hard and played really well:  as their nerves settled and their confidence grew, there were some close fought games so very well done to ZJ, Zain Oppal, James, Jevans, Lucas, Gurpreet, Frank and Benjamin.

Next week, Abbey College are participating for the first time in the Birmingham Schools Table Tennis Championships and the Abbey team are now ready for the challenge!
