On Tuesday 22nd November, Abbey College entered the Birmingham Schools' Table Tennis Championships at Handsworth Grammar School, in the Under 19 category. Our group was made up of Baverstock, Hampstead Hall, Bishop Vessey Grammar School and Hotle School.

A difficult first game against the current U19 Birmingham Champions, we lost the match, 11-9, 11-7, 11-8 and 15-13. An excellent start against the champions who practice at least 6 hours a week with a professional coach. Other games results were a defeat to Holte, draw against Baverstock and a win against Bishop Vessey. Overall, it was a very good performance for our table tennis boys who were playing against some very experienced players.
