InformationThere are around 150 students at the college, most of whom are preparing for A-levels with the remainder studying an International Business Foundation Programme or GCSEs.
50% of students are from the West Midlands Area: the remainder are international students coming from countries such as Albania, Burma, China, Germany, Iran, Kazakhstan, Libya, Nigeria and Vietnam.
Great efforts are made to ensure all students integrate fully and learn about each other's cultures so that they thoroughly enjoy their time at Abbey College as well as fulfil their academic potential.
Abbey College Birmingham is noted for its friendliness and informality and we treat our students as young adults. The mix of domestic and international students creates a very cosmopolitan atmosphere and the relative smallness of the college promotes a family atmosphere among students and staff. Abbey College Birmingham is the ideal preparation not only for university entrance but also the wider international, professional business world.
Each student has a Personal Tutor, who guides and supports them through their courses as well as a dedicated Head of Year who is there to provide additional support and guidance. Pastoral care is a top priority and staff take great pride in the success that Abbey College students achieve.
